I've been the bold hero to which I refer
Courageously fighting the impulse to flea
I've faced chilling situations as they were
I've rather bravely taken to bended knee
I've lifted the bottom corner of a quilt
Ever ago hand-crafted with loads of care
I've checked the places where dust bunnies are built
Though I was terrified I'd meet monsters there
I still took to knee and lifted that fabric
I have been downright dauntless just like I said
Myself and that nine-inch frying pan— nonstick
Took a long, hard look under that king-size bed
I did not know I was that brave— had no clue
And to think I could have never come to know
If I had not had to eye that shrouded view
Had to face the dusty place where bunnies grow
