The first song's for the sunrise
The second song's for the rain
The third song's for the world
And the children sing the refrain

The other songs
Sing quickly
Songs both right and wrong
But now it's time to sing the seventh song


The seventh song I know
Cause it's for the birthday of the moon

The moon needs me to sing it
It helps the moon to stay in tune


Speaking of a tune
There's something I have come to know

Some say it's too late for me
But I know it isn't so


It's not too late for the sunrise
Even though it's getting old

It's not too late for rain clouds
Though the clouds are feeling cold

The world it keeps on going
Though it's in a lot of pain

And though the world has changed
Somehow it stays the same


The first is the song of life
As it has come to be
The second song it has a strange personality


The other songs
They have their
Share of disappointing tunes


And I still sing the songs that tune the moon


So sing the first song gladly
But sing it not too glad

You sang a song for my birthday
And that's a song that makes me sad


It would be nice
If once or twice
The sunset
Sang a longer tune

But the sunset song
Still makes the flowers bloom.


The first song is retired
And the second song's tired too

The Universe will rue the day

I sing it something new


The other songs wish on a star
But that's not what the stars are for
But the seventh song
Will sing
Forevermore...
