“This Life Of Mine”
Keys in the ignition,
headlights are on,
engine is running
and the wheels turn
as they travel aimlessly.
No destination,
no planned trip.
The gas is running low,
the check engine light is on,
the windows are down,
my eyes are fixed on the road ahead.
And it's dark,
and it seems like that's all there is,
and it seems that's all there will be.
I'll keep driving until I can't anymore,
and then I'll get out and walk.
