God came and rescued me

suddenly I was free

only momentarily

that freedom started scaring me

they tell you with sincerity

you probably need therapy

but I know my freedom comes from God up in the heavenly.

So there I seek his mercy and grace

in a world where the enemy dictates

won’t waste time on mistakes

Jesus says your past is erased

so stay in the Fathers embrace

one day see him at the pearly gates

meeting God face to face

I will seek to kill the flesh’s desire

Asking God my brain to rewire

putting down the pacifier

maturing through Holy Spirit fire

Jesus please take me higher
