Hopefully I Will
Because its claws
were sharp and freezing cold
frozen fingers snapped at your ears
nose and toes
its cold heart ever so ready to freeze
anything in its sight
can we forget
the long, bitter cold winter
that froze the heart of Spring away
let deal with summer
forget
the dark, languished mornings
that I wished would've sooner be an end
but here we are
winter's chill still holding on
to now claim summer
why can it not be gone
completely
no remnants of its chill
oh how I wish I could forget winter
if summer comes and stays
hopefully I will, I will...
