What brings me happiness?
I think about this
and there's so many things
The bright blue sky in the morning
The light reflecting and sparkling on the sea
Holding hands with my loved one
Shared stories with my grandchildren
sitting next to me
Eating a picnic lunch by the river
Observing the movement of the birds
and branches on the tree
Learning a language
finding new words that become
familiar and fun
Chatting to my girls about art
projects that we've done
Dancing freely, laughing
and beating the long standing drums
What brings happiness to me is
is reaching a wise age, still feeling fine
and knowing that most of our happiness
comes from within and is totally free
