Sinister Letter.
#WritcoPoemChallenge
As far as a letter goes,
It was nondescript,
Plain white paper, no fancy prose,
No decorative script.
But the message it carried was sinister,
Filled with malice and deceit,
A warning of danger, like a sinister minister,
Preaching of impending defeat.
The words were carefully chosen,
Each syllable laced with venom,
Their meaning clear, the intent frozen,
In black ink, a lethal anthem.
The letter bore no signature,
No clue as to its source,
Yet its presence was a figure,
A looming threat with no remorse.
As far as a letter goes,
It was nondescript,
But the message it carried froze,
My heart, my mind, my spirit.
