To Gain
In times of panic and
With memories of pain
I continue to struggle
Thinking there's nothing to gain.
Losing the Best thing
That Ever happened to me
Is the one big fear
That I fight constantly.
To be filled with love
But overcast with fear
Tears my mind apart,
Staining Cheeks with tears.
Thoughts play my mind,
Like moves in a game,
Bringing constant confusion
And sometimes shame.
I should stop remembering
My past, filled with pain,
And learn to accept this new love,
Where I have everything to gain.
