Tha Adventures of A Chocolate Labrador Retriever 6
We found Vinn unconscious in the middle of the room surrounded by fecal matter and regurgitation. Observing the scene; none of it touch.

We call the vet for advice and they agreed to see him immediately. They concluded that something had bit him.

Upon further examination and questioning and us returning home to find our refrigerator had loss power; the mystery was solved.

The electrical plate behind the refrigerator had stop functioning so we moved the power cord to the nearest working plate.

That would be the socket directly on the other side of the wall. The location in the den in which the cord could easily reach. This meant stretching it along the baseboard, and wrapping it around the door frame.

The perfect solution and yeah, the same door Vinn would scratch and gnaw at each day for freedom. During his attempts that day, he accidentally bit the electrical cord.

Like I mentioned earlier Vinn backed down from nothing. It would be a long road back to complete recovery.

The Veterinarian said that Vinn had a strong heart. He was very surprised that he survived the electrical voltage that went through his body.

He lost half his tongue and a majority of his teeth on the right side of his mouth. They had to be pulled because of the severity of the burns he received.

I was still wondering how he avoided all the throw-up and shit. I guess his vanity paid off. One thing is for sure, I didn’t get to avoid them; clean up was my job. That time I didn’t mind; Vinn was alive.

It is amazing how animals adapt. They have a resilience like none I’ve ever seen EXCEPT in children. They always tend to take the hand life deals them and adjust and regroup. That is what Vinn did.

He recovered remarkably. He learn how to eat food(dry) again, even with missing teeth. Drinking water also didn’t appear to a problem; not for him but for me, yes the clean up.

Nothing else really change.
He was still vain and feisty; we had to pay extra one time for his “feistiness”. The groomer did stop painting his nails and putting bows in his hair.

Maybe it was payback for his bad behavior. Other than that, he lived a wonderfully long life basically dying of old age. Still the alpha male until the end.
