Old songs
Sitting on the porch,
resting on my chair,
listening to some songs,
playing in the radio.
And it comes,
like a pleasant surprise,
bringing waves of nostalgia,
from my forgotten past.
That melody, a revisit to my past,
reignite the feelings long-lost,
from childhood admiration,
to teenage crushes I had.
Each note, like golden moments,
a snapshot of life, stories untold,
coming alive, with bittersweet flavors,
that enriched my beautiful history.
Those were the days,
from cassettes, to CD players
music videos, to some movies,
felt exciting, like a dream world.
The music were not refined,
yet, voices had the honesty,
that touched the very soul,
of the listeners, young or old.
And I couldn't help but smile,
as I reminisce, closing my eyes,
drifting slowly to youthful times,
everything was a new experience.
Old songs, they opened the door,
diving deeper into memory's hold,
stirring emotions, that's long abandoned,
enveloping me, in a gentle embrace...
