Preponderant
The days never fall silent,
For the nights have a special horror of their own,
All you can hear is the sound of,
Them gathering- in rows.

The one two rows in, the thing
He's sat on his thrown,
Protected as their king,
As they arrived to our building,

We wouldn't usually bat an eye,
Just a single Watchman out,
And that's me, tonight,
I wouldn't usually feel fright,

But the usual is diminished,
For we are now finished,
No chance for us, the living,
They're breaking down the wall!

I cling to the hem, a single loose stone,
Virtically aligned with this creatures sturdy thrown,
The height is a plummit and the damage will be moderate,
But this is my only chance to prove I am preponderant.

They've grown in strength like I have maturity,
Now it is a challenge for the greatest force,
Letting nature run it's course,
Assuredly.
