are waiting
to trace the curves of her body
fully clothed.
as she increases her pace
her heart starts to race.
laboured breathing
with profuse sweating.
uncertainty filling up
questions of what if(s) pile up.
until she sees a known pair of eyes
to stop walking dead
and to breath out relief.
but
how much can a traumatized mind trust?
for us;
known are equally scarier as the unknown.
it's a bizzare fear even
in the sunshines
