My Truest Reflection
As I stand in the mirror,
Nude, just looking at myself.
These brown eyes start staring back at me.
The years have changed me and my reflection, time has slowly passed by.

I wonder how she feels on the other side of the glass. For all I see is just the same old me. Lacking self-confidence and love is my naked truth, will I ever see myself the way others do?

Gazing at the parts I love best and the parts I hate the most. I will be telling myself I'm perfect until I actually believe it to be true.
I know I am too hard on myself, Always comparing, hardly accepting. It's my own image that should be in love with.

Mirror, mirror on the wall I've shown you how I shine like a star,
Even with these visible scars. They are truly uplifting sights of imperfections,
My curves and stretch marks are both a curse and a blessing.

I won't stop,
I can't stop.
I will keep looking deeper,
I will never give up on me,
I will find my truest reflection,
I will love Me, deeply and unconditionally.
