Sand In the Hourglass
Taken away,
gone in a day.
The end begins to start over again.
Without permission,
without delay,
moving on from yesterday.
Memories dwell in the past of all the times that couldn't last.
Time don't stand still and it never will,
we're all but sand in the hourglass.

Changing before we know we're new,
without the thought of wanting to,
it happens over night,
we bloom,
and what shall wither,
dies that soon.

The face of time gives to us all.
The time you're here til the time you're gone.
The time you're up til the time you fall,
til the sand in the hourglass restarts.
