Reminders
I've been too lonely to fix it,
I hang on to this bed I rest in.
My fears and all my faults,
I feel ashamed, I feel so caged.
Lived the life they wanted,
but I ain't never live my own.
Made choices I truly regret,
but that can't be changed now.
I drown on all the reminders,
of you, of us, of my happiness.
A touch I never felt before,
a reason to live I saw that night.
Now I'm all but a shadow,
we are all but a shadow of us.
Used to ask the universe why,
now I know it's called "life".
