Some pay it young, just as they arrived,
Some pay after a while, just when they are just getting by,
Some pay it later, just when they are about to shine,
Some pay in their prime, so sad just as others,
Some pay in mid-age, quite painful still,
Some pay it when they have lived, it's not easy still,
Some pay it long after they have lived, when only breathe remains,
No matter when you pay, it comes with sorrow and grief,
Death is the debt we all must pay, an inevitable part of our being.
