Aspen's POV

*Flashback/Nightmare*

"Aspen~" David said drunkenly.

I was sitting in the guest room closet, scared, shaking. My arms were in pain from the glass bottle thrown at me. I was wrapping my arms before I heard, David in front of the closet door and before I knew-

*End of Flashback*

I shot up screaming. And realizing it was all a dream.

"It was just a dream. Just a dream not......real" I said quietly. What did not make the situation any better is that it was storming out.

"Love? What are you screaming about?" My boyfriend asked quietly, tired.

I jumped at the sound of my voice forgetting that I was not in a dream anymore.

And before I knew I was pulled into a hug by Shay with him saying sweetly, and quietly.

"Hey, hey, Bud do not be sorry you are ok. You had a bad dream"
I looked up at him and saw nothing but the truth.
"Do you want to talk about it?" He asked.
I shook my head "no"
He understood the reasoning behind it.
I never talk about it until the next morning.
"Ok love just relax for now. Ok?" He chuckled softly at himself.

I felt weaker and scared than my normal self the way I used to be. I have been getting better but when I think of him, I just cannot help but feel hurt and weak.
I was deep in thought until I heard Shay's voice.

"Aspen?" He asked in a worried tone.
"Yea?" I ask with uneasiness.
He notices my uneasiness and he reach his hand to ruffle my hair and I leaned my head towards his hand, he smiles softly at my gesture. The next thing I knew, I was laying on top of Shay.

My face in his neck, him whispering sweet little nothings in my ears, with sweet little kisses between each nothing. One hand in my hair and one rubbing up and down on my back and my arms, his wings rapped around me.

He made me feel safe and comfortable with his wings hugging my body. The warmth of his body was so calming that my eyes felt so heavy, I started to slowly close my eyes but everything time they shot opened wanting to continue feeling this feeling of love from my boyfriend who loved me.

He noticed me starting to doze off in his arms as my head started to sink more and more into his chest, my arms slowly turning less tense and more relaxed as I began to fall into a calm slumber of warmth. So, he started to hum a sweet melody in my ear to help me fall asleep. And oh man was it working, I forgot about all of the other things and just dozed off into the slumber my body needed.

This was like heaven.
