Prison
Through the window I looked,
At the beauty of the sunrise,
But the darkness in my head,
Refused to meet my eyes.
I tried to escape it,
To find some peace of mind,
But the pain inside was so great,
It seemed impossible to find.
I wanted to scream,
To release the pain within,
But my voice was trapped,
As if held by some sin.
My throat felt tight,
Choking me with every breath,
I felt so alone and helpless,
Lost in a sea of death.
The day had just begun,
But I couldn't face the light,
I was consumed by the darkness,
And lost in the fight.
So I stayed there by the window,
Watching the world pass me by,
Feeling trapped and hopeless,
With nowhere to go but to cry.
