As I stand here in this place
I can feel the shadows closing in
An eerie silence, a chilling space
My heart races, fear creeps within
Am I the only one, in grave danger?
Is there no other soul around?
Or am I the unfortunate stranger
Left alone, on this perilous ground?
I try to scream, but no sound escapes
My feet are frozen, I cannot flee
The shadows, they take different shapes
And they seem to be closing in on me
I question why I am here
In this dark and ominous space
Do I dare to face my fear?
Or will I vanish without a trace?
I can feel the cold breath on my neck
The shadows are mere inches away
My body trembles, I am a wreck
Will I survive to see another day?
I have found that I am not welcome here
In one piece, I am not meant to be
The darkness, it fills me with fear
And I know I am not meant to see
But wait, is that a glimmer of light?
A beacon of hope in this despair
I gather all my strength and might
And I break free from this nightmare
I run towards the light, with all my might
Leaving the shadows far behind
I have escaped the danger, I've won the fight
But still, this experience lingers on my mind
For am I the only one, who's been in grave danger?
Or is it a place where we all must go?
I may have escaped, but it's still a stranger
And I wonder if I'll ever truly know
So I'll tread carefully, as I move on
For danger lurks at every bend
I'll cherish each day, until it's gone
And pray the shadows never close in again.
