Growing Heart
As the seed is planted
Life within begins to make a beat
Slowly, it will grow
Soon into a sprout
The beginning of laughter & joy commences
Holding each other's leaf
Shining sunlight stare into each other
That moment of contact with one another's petals
Then the drought comes
Nectar pouring down in tears
Leaves shaking uncontrollably
Wanting to stop that beat within
One day, you hear the wind again
That same sunshine stare
Smell of beauty
The flower now grown
As its beat within is louder than ever before
