Heros
Start off I want to state
that my parents are my number one heros and I hope they know that before it's too late.
I'm really trying to state the heros in my headphones.
Some real OGs that compare to AL Capone.
First it was the way they put together thier slang.
First time I heard Triumph by Wu Tang,
it blew my mind. Had me rolling with a parang.
Then came" The king", Nas.
Every time I put his tunes on, there was no way I was hitting pause.
Hip hop started to engrave itself in me.
Putting words together like , "...swinging swords like Shinobi.."
About the same time the Lakers adopted Kobe.
Had me learning new ebonics.
And yes Kobe was on a show with Onyx.
Snoop dog and Dr Dre had me trying Gin and tonic.
Even tried burning my first chronic.
Dmx had me growling and looking for God.
I attached myself to his everyword and would applaud.
Hip hop was on lock.
Especially by the dearly departed Tupac.
Listening to Biggie
Had me all warm and giggly.
The word play was put together cleverly.
Definitely had me gitty.
Hip hop became my life.
Hearing battles where rhymes would cut like a knife.
Foundation from Xzibit
showed us young men how to live and avoid things and prohibit.
Even how to stand alone like Ice cube when he had to leave his team.
His whole team took it when he dropped No Vaseline.
I took in every word and rhyme. Tons of insane lyrics that were sublime.
These are just a fraction of the proffessors I listened to.
Joel ortiz, Eminem, Papoose to name a few.
There are so many I'm missing too.
Legends in my eyes.
I pay homage and salute
The word play and your messages were hard to refute.
And I still get mad when some tells me to mute.

Fuckem

Heros
