Innocent Stories
#WritcoPoemChallenge
Lost in time,
weaved with memories,
It was but an old house

Raised in a family of believers I was the little one who couldn't keep still. Running over the wooden floors, laughing singing if I chose to. Many innocent memories remembered but there were a few I vowed to forget. Expressions in loud voices, the eardrums needed relief. I would smile in silence then closed the door to hide my silent laughter. My behavior was quite emotional, however I would never confess that experience with anyone. However there were moments filled with laughter. And there were well prepared food I had to eat. Like chocolate cake. A slice of blueberry pie. And potatoe salad, collar greens with slices of ham on the side. Oh how beautiful were my youthful moments, children would tell jokes pretending to laugh. About the cartoon created with animals, talking like you and I would. We played tag. Multiple games like hide and seek. We played with a large ball on the pavement, we were not allowed to play in the streets. Before long I was a grown up smiling at girls, amazed when the girls smiled back at me. The girls would giggle among themselves pointing at the boys playing around. That message wasn't so clear because skyness had a grip on me. Don't worry readers the story gets better. I was caught kissing my girlfriend in the dark. Expectations of love wasn't seen openly, that sort was expressiveness was hidden behind closed doors. She and I laughed after the experience was over. We couldn't wait to tell our friends what we done. It was talked about in our little community everything exactly. She and I imbellish our storytelling a single kiss become what we never would do. Innocent stories.
