I learnt the hard way....
I learnt the hard way,
that changing people is like healing from a heart ache,
only them can truly heal themselves.
I learnt the hard way,
that changing a man is only determined by him and not by the amount of love you give to him,
For if it was,
I loved him dearly,
even with the slaps,
I loved him still,
even with the cuts and my blood on the floor,
I loved him still,
and in my unconscious state,
praying for the creators grace,
hoping he would spare me another day,
I love him still.
And even now,
taking my last breath,
watching my brain shut down from his inflicted pain,
I love him still.
