Shadow disappears with light,
Again appears without.
Night is shadow - our Earth
Obstructs the Sun's rays
Where we sleep, and until
We veer again to morning.
Which comes first? Universe
Is mainly dark, stars are far.
Think what it means: Some
Impediment to light's flow's betwixt.
There are walls, screens, secrets.
Dark is cosmic cloak of shadow.
I ask science what shadows us?
Not just starlight's far-flung paths?
Light's occasional: rays, torch,
Explosions, fire. But isn't dark too?
Obstructions are hiding to be found,
One day we'll see where light abounds.
