I feel my heart is wrenching and ask myself is it all worth it? The pain... the crying... the anguish...the endless tears...
the hurtful memories linger, a constant ache
can't you leave me with a beautiful past?
you used to be the best thing I could wish for
you used to be my sweetest person
but now it's all bitter, a love turned awry
I chose to love you, not the pain you bring
I chose to hold you like a treasure, dear
not with rough hands, but with a gentle care
but still, I can't find myself hating you
I guess I'm a slave to love, it's true
longing for the happy times we shared
and the love we had, before it turned to despair
