Twin Flame
Bright fire,
That burned within our hearts.
Be the same chaos that blew it apart.
Back and forth,
Grieving souls - shifting blame.
What a rose,
Father Time, here to claim.
Now the dust settles,
I can finally see.
A child crying within,
Begging someone to fix you.
Whole, my heart loved deeply.
But it could never fill the void,
Or sooth the tears of that little boy.
And for that I'm sorry.
Sinking into bed, mind wandering.
Neither perfect,
Nor awful or plain.
Heart thankful,
Love painful - engulfed in flames.
