Promise
I see today some years back,
a promise was kept.
No one else did knew that,
her heart alone did knew.
She perceived the euphoria it granted her,
making her forget the present and forgive the past.
Never could she think of anything,
for she was deeply lost in the memory of that vow.
Now as she gaze through the landscape,
She figures the same old rose garden where the promise was made,
where back in time a little girl stood affectionately,
showing the tenderness of her heart.
Little did she knew then, her promise was fake and transient.
Sad that even now at times she thinks...
