Kites
Kites- Poetry for children
On a beautiful morning with shining light
Some children were flying their kites
On their faces were seen million smiles
Reflecting the happiness deep inside.
Decorated in colourful papers
Of various shapes and size
Held in the sky with a string
And a tail swirling by sides.
The kites flew to the dizzy heights
The children on ground brimmed with delight
Pulling the strings, holding tight
Never losing them off their sight.
The kites flew into spaces wide
Like a seagull soaring high into skies
Like an eagle engaging in swift dives.
Swayed by winds on all directions and sides.
The hopes and dreams of little kids
Rode with the kites astride
On a long voyage of life
Gradually expanding and becoming wide.
