MAYFLOWER

My name is Gaia, a nerd who is interested in studies. But recently, my academic life has become more interesting due to some issues. My best friend Elisa, who is the college beauty and also into weird habits of college gossips. When I arrived at college, we had a conversation like this:
"Have you heard about her?" One of my friends asked me.
"What are you saying?" I looked at her with confusion.
"Why... You..." She smacked me on my head. "Ouch.... That hurt," I mumbled.
"Listen, Ash, there was a female psycho on our campus. She would seduce the handsome guys in our college and lure them into the abandoned building near our campus. Then the next day, you will find that boy's body engraved as 'MAYFLOWER.'"
The chills passed all over me. "Mayflower?" I asked her.
"Yeah, it sounds pretty cute, right?" She smiled at me. I pinched her nose. "It's dangerous, why are you becoming a weirdo?" I teased her.
Then we saw the police taking the investigation regarding the psycho killer case. They were questioning a few guys, and they looked petrified after seeing their friend's dead body.
Still, no one can catch her; it's already the 6th murder. No one has a clue about her. Students were talking that she is not human. Because humans can never do a perfect crime like this. It's like she became a snack for some vampire ghost. Elisa told me.
"What's with this Mayflower? Can't we discuss something cute, like Elisa?"
Elisa blushed, I giggled at her reaction.
We were interrupted by a handsome boy, Colleen, who is Elisa's boyfriend. They were in a relationship for three months. I am so happy to see him. They both kissed in front of me.
"Get a room, guys..." I teased them. Elisa pinched my cheeks. I furiously stared at her.
"I'm sure Mayflower won't get my man!" Elisa said with pride.
"Oh my.... Babe... You have that much confidence?" Colleen teased her.
"Yes, I have," she giggled.
"Hey, how about we go for a date?" he asked.
"Sure, I am double ok." She replied.
"You guys have fun. See you later." I sent them off. Before I leave, I stare at both of them, and Colleen winked at me secretly. I smiled and walked away from them.
But I still liked the part where Elisa called Mayflower a cute name. I giggled with excitement and slowly tried to hum a song. Then I had a craving to see the victim's dead body, which I enjoyed last night. I stomped towards the abandoned building.
# After all, I am Mayflower, and it must be exciting when you are the predator who hunts its prey. My next prey is decided. I turned back at Elisa, who is hugging her boyfriend. What a lovely sight.... I smiled at them. I will make sure that she will never be able to forget MAYFLOWER.
