My last days on earth (episode 2)

'Life is just a short story of how we lived.'

On the 18th of October 2015 was Julius's birthday, I decided to attend. though it was a tough decision to make, but I had to. I mean, Julius was like a brother to me.

The party kicked off late, because the disc jokier they hired was late. So I took my time to meet with Julius's family. Only to find out that Julius had a sister, A beautiful sister. But she was sick, she was suffering from cancer too and her lungs were already weak so she breath in oxygen through a cylinder she carried about. I was shocked to see this, i mean, I thought more about how ungrateful I've been. With all this she was still happy. She was free, not like me who always felt deprived of life. We were suffering from the same cancer, but mine was still at it's early stage. Like I could still breath without any aid. All my life I've been running from my past, but it seems like my future is just too fast.

She came to me smiling, she had heard of me but hasn't met this man called 'Jimi'.
'I guess you're jimi?' she asked pulling out her hand for a handshake.
Feeling a bit awkward, I adjusted my boar tie. With a smile, I extended my hand to receive hers. 'Yes. And I guess you're?'
'Kimberly, but you can just call me Kim' She answered. All through the Night we were lost in discussion, asking questions about each other. She was a Law student of Unilag before she dropped from school, due to her health. She loved politics, football and music. While I on my own side only took one as my obsession, (Music).
She told me how her first boyfriend left her when he discovered that she was a cancer patient. She told me how she survived the heartbreak. And how she replaced the love she had for him with music and football.
From that party we became Friends, she visited constantly, and I too took the mantle. Until...
