I read the last line of that whatsapp message aloud for the tenth sound.

This is all I dream I guess. But the Sharp pain I felt when I pinched myself suggested otherwise.

This is reality, I wasn't dreaming.

Ok, I have heard of girls professing their love first.

But never thought such would happen in this part of the world I live in .

I met jane during my clearance as a newly admitted student in UNIZIK.

Just like me , she too gained admission that year.

During clearance, we both were victims of "Come back tomorrow" (you know that frustration)

Just like her, I was always coming back each day..

We became used to seeing each other face in the I. C. T library.

One thing led to the other, we started talking.

We were both in the same faculty; Faculty of social science.

Was studying political science while she Economics.

We exchanged contacts and chatted frequently

In the space of just 2 months we saved each other's contact as "Bestie"

No romantic feelings attached.

Truth be told, I developed feelings for her but was scared opening up to her might bring rejection and a crack in our friendship

So I kept my feelings to myself and remained the bestie.
