This was the tenth time I was visiting this shrine.

My previous visits here had always met a dead end. So today I came prepared.

As a young christian, I had this zeal and enthusiasm for evangelism.

Pardon me if I sound too boastful, but in all modesty I would say I have won many souls for christ.

The native doctor was my next.

Pulling off my shoes at the entrance,I went in with confidence.

Being familiar with my face, he knew what I came there for and granted me audience.

After the opening prayer, I brought out my bible and began preaching.

Throughout my sermon he kept mute and listened. This was unusual of him.

In my previous visits,he would always find something contradictory to oppose whatever scripture I read.

I smiled to myself, maybe that was a sign I was beginning to win him over.

After preaching for 30minutes , I paused to see his reaction.

He gave me a long stare, shook his head and said;

"Follow me to the backyard.i want to show you something.

On getting to the backyard, I saw different livestock roaming freely.

He pointed to them and said, " The day your fellow christians stop bringing goats and chicken here and solely depend on God in their most difficult moments, that day I will willingly accept to be converted and baptized"

With this , he went back into his shrine leaving me there speechless.
