Brushstrokes of Peace: Rewriting Hitler's Legacy through Art
On this World Book Day, if I were granted the chance to rewrite world history, I would undoubtedly choose to intervene in Hitler's era. I would have loved to meet Hitler during his childhood, knowing his fondness for watercolors and architectural drawings. With immense love, care, and encouragement, I would have nurtured his passion for painting and architecture, providing him with the necessary materials and support to flourish.

I would have gifted him magical paintbrushes and colors, enabling him to depict a vision of Germany as a peaceful and beautiful place through his artistry. As he grew older, I imagine him organizing exhibitions and art competitions for every citizen of Germany, fostering a culture of creativity and appreciation for the arts.

As a leader, Hitler would have recognized and celebrated the talent of painters from around the world, sending them to leisure and creation camps to produce masterpieces. He would have incentivized mothers who gave birth to gifted painters, creating a society that valued and prioritized artistic expression.

In this alternate reality, Hitler would have lived a longer life, dedicating himself to building art centers, colleges, and universities worldwide. Through his paintings and artistic endeavors, he would have transformed the mindset of people, becoming one of the greatest healers of all time. If only I could rewrite this chapter of world history.
