RAJA BETA ( My Cute Little Prince)
(Re-producing self written old short story.)
**********************************************
It was a chilling winter night of December. Late at night, the news of overturning of a bus in a deserted area created panic. The screams of people trapped in and under the overturned bus created panic in the locals.

The villagers rushed to the spot with torches, digging implements etc. Some badly injured people were somehow, pulled out by the villagers but it was really a herculean task! Due to heavy rains and minus temperature, it was very difficult to conduct the relief and rescue work. Relief work picked up only when the Police force and ambulance also reached to the spot after some time. Even after investing much effort, 250 plus locals could not overturn the 52-seater bus straight! Immediately, an SOS message was sent to rush a crane to the spot. Each passing moment was precious!

The authorities and locals were eagerly waiting for the crane, when a nervous feminine voice caught everyone's attention.
"Sir, for God's sake, please, save my son, save my Raja Beta." —She was almost pleading. When the bus overturned, this mother might have been thrown out of the bus. Badly torn white clothes and blood flowing from her forehead were testifying the fact!

"Madam, calm down, relax! Now, the crane has arrived and the bus is to be overturned by using ropes. Only then, the people trapped under it can be rescued. You please sit down. Your forehead is bleeding profusely. First get a bandage done."— A Police Officer present , consoled the anxious mother.

"No sir, I'm fine. Please come with me. I know where my Raja Beta is. Please come. He might get hurt if the crane gets into action."—the terrified and injured mother pleaded again.

The police officer and some constables followed the mother. Mother took them to the back side of the bus. She pointed to the corner of the tyre in the rear. The police personnel focused their torch towards that rear tyre. To their utter surprise, they found a sobbing child of about six months sitting inside a muddy pit!

Two constables immediately swung into action and crawled towards the pit to take the child out. They tenderly handed over the child to the Police Officer standing behind. The Police Officer took the child in his arms. By God's grace, the little boy didn't suffer even minor bruises!

"Madam, here is your son, your Raja Beta. Thank God, he is safe."- Having said this, the Police Officer extended his arms to hand over the child to the mother. The mother smiled a little, extended her arms towards the son. The little child also smiled and extended both his arms towards his mother.

"Sir, sir! Look here. White clothes and blood on the forehead. It is madam's dead body! Then, who is this woman standing behind you, sir?!"- both the constables almost screamed in utter awe. By that time, the crane had already lifted the bus. Three four other dead bodies were also found under the bus.

Ohh Goshhh! How is it possible ?!!

The mother suddenly turned into a hazy figure. Her figure began to disappear as if it had turned into a mist or smoke! In a blink of eye, she vanished in the thin air.

The Police Officer carrying the child in his arms and the local people standing behind, were left dumbfounded. Waving in a certain direction, Raja Beta was still smiling in the safe arms of that Police Officer!!
