"I'm Jared! Nice to meet you, Mr. Cevii's dad." He introduced himself, and I saw the beautiful smile of this child. I stopped when I heard it. I suddenly remembered Jarred. I came back to my senses when a woman approached us.
"Jared, I'm worried about you. I've been looking for you for a while, and you're just here." It is obvious that she is his mother.
"I'm sorry, mommy; I will never do it again." I was even more surprised when I saw that it was Kia. Kia is Jarred's ex. Why is his son's name Jared?
"You are Calvin, right? One of Jarred friends? Oh right! You are their leader!" Kia said.
"Ahh yes, you remember it right. And I do remember you too, Kia, right?" I asked even though I knew it was her.
"Yup, it's been 12 years since the first time we've met, but I still remember all of you," she answered.
I saw that she was suddenly sad. Maybe it's because of Jarred. I know that she already knows what happened; it's impossible if she doesn't. Well then, the question here is why this boy and Jarred have the same name.
"Is he your son?" I asked as I focused my eyes on the boy in front of me. I'm looking forward to learning about the boy.
"Yes, and he is Jahn Redden Cuerva." She introduced him.
"But you can call me Jared for short." His son suddenly answered. Kia looked at me.
"Ahm, I-... Jared is the nickname I gave him; actually, I meant it. I know you already know the reason why." She's right; I know that she genuinely loves Jarred, but they aren't destined for each other. I will not question nor judge her by doing that, naming her child after her first love. That's too cute to know, but I don't know if that's okay with her husband. Maybe he doesn't know??? Or maybe he knows. Oh, nevermind, that's just life.
