The Survivor Of Atomic Bombing!
On August 6 1945, atomic bombing took place in Hiroshima!
A tragic story of how an innocent girl passed away by leukaemia.

A type of disease which was the delayed effect of radiation exposure.

A girl, beautiful and kind, died due to this exposure of the atomic bombs!
Rest in Peace Sadako Sasaki!

When suffering, she believed: if she made a 1000 paper cranes she will be granted one wish!

This now became the legend of paper cranes!

The paper cranes were the only hope for her to recover!
She folded day and night just to achieve the number.
But sadly, she passed away on October 25, 1995.

It is believed that she, herself, folded over 1400 paper cranes in hopes of receiving such a enormous gift!

And today, till now, it is believed to give her a paper crane when visiting her grave!!

In Hiroshima, Japan, there is a statue of Sadako Sasaki Resembling “The Childerns Peace Monument)

is a monument for peace to commemorate Sadako Sasaki and the thousands of child victims of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima.
