Thelvin
#WritcoStoryPrompt47
Write a story based on this famous excerpt from Revival by Stephen King:
He unlocked a door and led me through an office that was empty of furniture, although I could still see square clean patches on the grimy linoleum, where the legs of a desk had once stood. On the wall was a curling calendar with April 1989 showing. It was almost as if the silouett of a man stood in the darkness of the corner of the room, but when I would focused it would dancingly disappear. The smell of 1989 stayed in the room apparently, holding the time up by way of scent. As the sun began to set the shadows of darkness began to come alive, the room started to exhale death along with all it's evil. The walls moaned with the sounds of the many trapped souls that lost their lives in the house. It was said the house itself kept the lost bottled within it's walls, and that those lost ones were angry for not having any peace. They terrorize anyone that steps across the threshold, and snatches a piece of their mind leaving them dead or wishing that they were. In any case Thelvin Crow was fascinated with the dark and all that came with it, since he was a small child. His ignorance of gave no way to fear. In other words he didn't have the sense to have the fear that he should have. Thelvin was just tickled pink to be inside the house alone ( dummy). Just as he got comfortable the shadows reached out lifting his body off the ground as the other shadows squeezed him harder than an anaconda, as his blood hit the ground the house became alive, and fed on Thelvin's soul, h was never seen again. Even to this day, some say that you can see young Thelvin in the window of the attic waving at passers by.
