Gilbert Bécaud, born François Gilbert Léopold Silly (Toulon, 24 October 1927 – Paris, 18 December 2001), was a French singer, pianist, composer and actor.
He was nicknamed Monsieur 100,000 volts (Mr. 100,000 volts) for his great energy on the scene and for his over 400 songs.
His most famous hits Mes mains, Nathalie, Le Jour où la pluie viendra, Je t'appartiens, Marie, Marie and Et maintenant.
