Just a woman.
Im just a woman.
Im a woman, and that means sometimes carrying the whole world on your shoulders,
even if it means your legs will eventually break.
It means feeling like you will forever be your mothers rage,
trying to heal her wounds while you try to cover yours up.
Being just a woman would be great,
a woman with a heart has that has not been broken yet,
that has a mind that remains untouched by the power of society,
that is often confused with truth.
Being a woman is not for the weak,
in fact, I have not met any single woman who is not strong.
It does not get easier,
trying to love yourself as a woman in a world that is constantly telling you not to,
chasing happiness when you have a chain at the bottom of your feet tying you to the inescapable sadness.
And even when you feel you are enough as a woman, they don’t care,
you are not enough to society, and you will never be,
but it’s not your fault.
Society will never be satisfied with your exhaustive efforts,
because for them, you will forever be “just a woman.”
