The journey has come to an end,
Sometimes alone often with a friend
Weaving through meandering paths,
Wanting rest, into to the vast

Death awaits for the path ends
Me, myself and weary friend
The friend long gone, tired to defend
Against the rugged, jagged wind

Alone I find myself, conclusion
The path turned empty, no illusion
Comfort of home awaits the weary
Always alone on life's endless journey

Youth now gone, lost forever
Now I choose no longer lover
No replacing life's companion
Alone I trudge into oblivion
