Dark but Bright
The beginning of mine
was filled with hues and shades
everything was filled with wonder
I couldn't stay still in one place.
The world seemed bright
and I felt like the sun
when I started another day
didn't know it was the journey of no return.
People found me fascinating
curious were they always
the little whispers of mine
were enough to make a fairy tale.
But people were always people
I never knew their name
and as I march to see another road
none has ever followed me anyway.
It was dark
just like an empty space
yet when I turned to look behind
a little birdy was waiting for the song to play.
