LAND OF MY FOREFATHERS
Land of my forefathers,
Where prosperity gathers,
Land of milk and honey,
Where luxury and money,
Is drifting natives apart

A lot of blood,
Had to flood,
Our interior and borders,
Inorder for colonial orders,
To give way for our freedom

We were no longer a colony,
We were to end the agony,
But all turned into irony,
We thought there would be harmony,
But neocolonialism came

A republic was born,
A new leader was sworn,
What we thought was freedom,
Turned into a dark kingdom,
Worse than white man's era

Pervading oligarchy,
Killed our democracy,
We were no longer at ease,
And nothing else,
Could bring our happiness back
