Adrift
I sail along the Sea of life without a map to follow
drifting through uncertainties that reach into tomorrow
and though I stand in charge at helm I find my course yet altered
and debate where I went off course, see where it was I faltered

The light of day and hush of night
I sailed so blindly with all my might
my thirst so great and hunger strong
to find where in this life I might belong
I plotted the course I laid before me and strove with all my might
to adjust the sails within my heart and choose to do what's right

Yet still this course I chartered and had this so planned
my thirst of life lays void and waste
for still I sail upon these many Waters
much to bitter for my soul to taste
but the Advent of my fall has come into us all
as life as surely shown
when you hunger for the truth of life
through the winds you shall be thrown
