The next time I say "I'm busy",
I mean that I fell asleep watching a show,
Eyes burning with regret, blurry surroundings,
With my shadow being the only company,
The next time I say that, "I'm fine being alone",
What I really mean is that I'm fine being lost in the crowd,
With my identity being diffused with the others, with nowhere to go,
Strangers being closer than my own friends,
And the next time I write all this,
It was never about passive expression, barbie smiles, or a fake display of strength,
For everyone has some pain to deal with,
But the real question would be,
"Do you really want to listen?"
