Time Waits For Nobody...A Poem Inspired By Salvador Dali's Masterpiece "The Persistence Of Memory "
#SymbolicSurreality
Death is inevitable and comes to claim us all,
We live, we die, we decay,
That is nature's way,
Just like the moth or mosquito, time flies,
And we are left standing under a dead olive tree,
Nobody hears our cries
We sometimes get lost between imagination and reality,
Seeking a reflection in a mirror of what we came to be,
Some of us became an empty shoreline,
as we are numb and emotionally dead,
Some of us are overwhelmed with the harsh reality of here and now therapists have said
Some of us are caught up in yesterday,
whether it be childhood trauma or pain in some other form or way,
Rooted within us, and we can not
escape the past,
The present is not much better,
And we blindly cling to the ray of hope
that the future sometimes cast.
