Embracing religion should have been the end of all conflict, but it happens the opposite, and you become a fanatic. Becoming spiritual also doesn't end the problems, but it definitely lubricates them by giving you the strength to fight back. So be ready to face the problems.
Becoming spiritual is not a ticket to release of all your problems, the more you will become spiritual the more problems you will tend to face as divine will fast track your prarabdh karma. So if you want to pray, pray for the higher purpose not for achieving this or that.
