Choosing Another
#WritcoPoemPrompt48
Write a poem about a time that your illusions of someone or something were shattered.

The journey of love begins with a wish, to find compatibility. It requires a closer look at the specifics pinpointing clarity. Hours spent shoveling through what you actually know. Sifting through, weeding out, the imperfect bits that never grow. Taking a closer look at the silhouette you desire, there you go. Back and forth. Up and down. Knowing whatever shines may not be gold. You take a closer look at a few, but which one will excite the nest. Careful consideration how deep should you get. Blurred hesitations. How close should you look. The timing seems ackward, The decision to discontinue, restarting another day. You discover three possibilities, but every shine isn't bright. You gaze into their eyes nothing special ignites. The hidden flame you hold inside. Away from the looks of impatient lives. Not sure what you've searching for, the possibility that doesn't exists, you're wasted what seems like precious hours. Choosing another.
