Mid-Autumn Moonlight.
Upon the autumn sky, a tale unfolds,
Of Chang'e, the moon goddess, and stories untold.
She danced with grace, in the celestial sphere,
A love lost, forever longing year after year.

Legend speaks of her husband, Hou Yi the archer,
Whose arrows pierced the suns, a mighty conquer.
But the apprentice consumed by greed sought eternal life,
And stole the elixir, causing endless strife.

To protect the elixir, Chang'e took flight,
And landed on the moon, forever out of sight.
In her lunar palace, she resides alone,
Her beauty shining bright, like a moonstone.

Each year, on the fifteenth day, we gather,
To honour Chang'e with lanterns and laughter.
Mooncakes abound, with their sweet filled delight,
Symbolizing reunion, on this special night.

As the full moon rises, casting its glow,
We send our wishes, high and low.
May love and joy fill every heart,
As we celebrate, never to be apart.

Let's raise our lanterns, high in the sky,
And let our spirits soar as the moon draws nigh.
On this Mid-Autumn Festival, let's unite,
Embracing the legends under the moon's light.
