Well every mother in my neighborhood should feel special,
With such early greetings as this,
The crow are royally playing it up,
And I’m just a little tired of this shit!

They’ve been making a racket since about 5:30am,
I’m up and wide awake so this girl will just let it be,
Ain’t got no children, don’t want none,
So the noise is definitely not for me.

I’ll take some time to join in the greeting,
A poem for all mothers far and wide,
Thanks for your time and patience,
And being on your children’s side.

It takes a special woman to be a great mom,
Believe me I watched many try and fail,
Having children is not what makes you a mother,
With so much more then that there are some who had prevailed.

Since the crows have quieted down,
And the song birds now sweetly sing,
Let me join in and wish everyone of you,
A very Happy Mother’s Day!
