Window Pain
A window pane causes see-through pain.
As the rain washes down nothing gets washed away.
Life's shits taken like birds run down in a stain.
"It'll wash off" they say.
The rain pours faster, my tears I'm sure.
The window cracks and breaks little by little.
And just like that water leaks in. More and more.
Shattering the glass that was always so brittle.
The pieces shatter on the floor.
I'm left sopping with wondering what's missing.
My heart looks like a flooded shore.
Pieces of me washed away quickly with the water off they went hissing.
A lonely man with no glass left.
Missing pieces taken leading to a life of theft.
